Hey guys!
So i was thinking about what my first post in this forum should be, and in the end it was pretty clear to me that it has to be the opening post for the thing i'm loving the most to do: My personal charts! So here it is...
I started doing my own charts back in 2006, with a Singles Top10 back then, which became a Top20 shortly afterwards. In 2010, i started to add an Album Top10, and since a few years, both charts grew into a Singles Top40 and an Album Top20, which usually get published every thursday.
My Charts isn't compiled by plays (LastFM) or so, but by how much i like the songs and albums. Plays obviously play a role as well, since the more often i play a song, the more i like it, however that's just secondary. Only singles are allowed to debut on my Singles Charts, while only albums that were released and that i own (physically, digitally or on streaming services) are allowed to debut on the Album Charts.
I will post this week's chart soon. If someone likes to know an old week from the past, just ask. Maybe i'll start doing a Retro Chart Topic sooner or later.
So, that's it. I hope you guys enjoy my charts

week 39/2017 – 28 september 2017 a Sweet MysteryIt’s a very busy week with nine new arrivals and three re-entries on the Singles Top40, basically starting the busiest time of the year, as from now on it’s likely to see lots of entries on both charts every week. It’s expected to see six debuts in the Album Top20 next week alone, for example. As for the singles charts, the crown doesn’t go back to the pop genre, as it’s another rock song which debuts straight atop the charts, and that’s “My Sweet Mystery”, the second single by The Dark Element, a collaboration between the two musicians Anette Olzon and Jani Liimatainen. It follows “The Dark Element”, which topped the charts three weeks ago but already slips 10-12 in its fourth week this time. “My Sweet Mystery” has a phenomenal start, as despite being released only on monday, it already got played around 80 times.
The second highest new entry is a surprising one, as it belongs to Noah Cyrus. While her older sister Miley is currently struggling with charts success by scoring three entries in a row which didn’t top the charts and weren’t certified at all – which never happened to her whole discography so far – it’s the opposite for Noah, who keeps on becoming more successful with each release. Her last single “I’m Stuck” not only became her first Top20 hit ever with a #17 peak, it also stayed on the charts for a pretty good nine weeks. Her new single “Again” now makes a big jump by entering the charts at a stellar #3, and also becomes the very first notation for the featured XXXTENTACION. Also debuting inside the Top10 is “Merci quand même”, the first single in French by Marina Kaye. With its debut at #6 it becomes her sixth Top10 hit, keeping her Top10 ratio by 100%.
The other new entries this week: Macklemore’s new album “Gemini” brings his new single “Good Old Days” featuring Kesha to #14 while Fergie’s new album “Double Dutchess” is the reason behind the debut for “You Already Know” at #19, which features Nicki Minaj. Both releases are also responsible for the re-entries for “Glorious” at #21 and “M.I.L.F. $” at #36. Canadian R&B singer Melanie Fiona finally makes a comeback with “Remember U” at #21, Anne-Marie arrives at #29 with “Heavy”, Emeli Sandé disappoints with “Starlight” at #38 while Gwen Stefani owns the very first Christmas entry for this season as she’s new at #39 with “You Make It Feel Like Christmas”, which becomes the very first notation ever for her partner and country singer Blake Shelton. The third and final re-entry is due to another album release: “Sound Of Walking Away” is back at #34 for Kerli and Illenium.
Arch Enemy’s “The Eagle Flies Alone” slips 1-2, Hailee Steinfeld’s “Let Me Go” (6-4) and Evanescence’s “Imperfection” (7-5) both reach new peaks, Rachel Platten stays quite stable with “Broken Glass” (9-8) and Kelly Clarkson’s “Love So Soft” falls 3-10. There are another two songs in the Top10, but both of them are climbing into that part. The first one is Nick Jonas’ “Find You”, which is up 21-7. It’s already his second highest peaking song ever now, and a big increase following his last single “Remember I Told You”, which peaked at #40. The other one is “Think About That” by Jessie J, as it’s up 15-9, becoming Jessie’s 13th Top10 hit.
Due to all these new entries and climbers in the Top10, there are also some big drops on the charts. Loreen suffers quite a lot, as both of her songs – “Ocean Away” (5-11) and “Jungle” (17-24) – fall quite a few spots. However, there are far worse drops. Taylor Swift’s “…Ready For It?” drops 4-16, Tori Amos’ “Up The Creek” is down 8-17, Björk’s “The Gate” tumbles down 2-20, Niall Horan’s “Too Much To Ask” decreases 14-27, Halsey’s “Bad At Love” falls 19-37 while Sam Smith’s “Too Good At Goodbyes” is even down 18-40.
Nick Jonas’ “Find You” is the biggest climber, while Sam Smith’s “Too Good At Goodbyes” is the biggest loser this week. 1 (NEW) The Dark Element (Anette Olzon & Jani Liimatainen) – My Sweet Mystery Chart Run: *1*- / 1w

Gucci Mane – Fetish *G* (10w) Out (39) Tori Amos – Cloud Riders (3w) Out (40) Fifth Harmony – He Like That (4w).While there are three debuts on the charts this week, none of them really made a big impression, so it was easy for Arch Enemy to defend the top spot for a second week with “Will To Power”. The highest debut goes to Macklemore, who arrives at #2 with “Gemini”, his third album overall and first one without Ryan Lewis. The last album was a big flop, as it only peaked at #10 and already left the charts completely after that one week, while the debut “The Heist” peaked at #2 as well and went Gold. Former Black Eyed Peas frontwoman Fergie gets her first album notation with “Double Dutchess” at #3. It’s the follow-up to “The Dutchess”, which was released eleven years ago. Last but not least, American DJ and producer Illenium has an entry at #5 with his “Awake”.
The rest of the Top10 keeps on being nothing too new, however for the last week, as a staggering six albums are likely to debut inside the Top10 next week. “Native Invader” by Tori Amos (2-4), “Evolution” by Anastacia (3-6), “Nude” EP by Loreen (6-7), “Evocation II: Pantheon” by Eluveitie (5-8), “Regenbogen” by Vanessa Mai (4-9) and “So Good” by Zara Larsson (7-10) are still in the upper half.
After four months and the most impressive chartrun of the year so far, Halsey’s “hopeless fountain kingdom” has to leave the Top10 for its very first time (9-11). That’s still a good placement considering the current single “Bad At Love” is far from being a big hit. Epica’s “The Solace System” EP (8-13) and Fifth Harmony’s self-titled album (10-15) are leaving the upper half as well. Other than that, there are two new certifications, as Eluveitie’s album and Kesha’s “Rainbow” (11-14) both go Gold this week. 1 (1) Arch Enemy – Will To Power Chart Run: 2-*1*-1- / 3w

Noah's new song is nice. She is still yet to top Make Me (Cry) for me but this is definitely better than the other songs she has put out recently

Thanks for coming by For me it's already her best by far, after just one week... It would be like this: 1. Again 2. I'm Stuck 3. Make Me (Cry) 4. Stay Together I know she put out at least one other song but i never heard it so i can't judge it. But she's definitely having a nice little discography so far, a shame she doesn't get success

^ thanks for commenting! Glad you like these. Unfortunately, i'm completely over "...Ready For It?" out of a sudden, and you'll see that on the upcoming chart Same for Kelly... so i guess you won't be too happy about the next update. Wait, Rachel in particular? You didn't like her last album? It was pop at its best IMO

thanks so much for all commentsweek 40/2017 – 5 october 2017 a wave of new albumsIt’s an exciting week as last friday was the release day of new albums by Demi Lovato, Miley Cyrus, Shania Twain and more, and all these new albums obviously have a big influence on the singles charts as well. 13 songs from last week leave the Top40, which is quite a big number, however there are only six debuts on the charts, as all these new albums result in seven re-entries.
Despite that busy week, album release effects are usually not huge enough to be a competition for the top spot, and from all new arrivals this week the competition wasn’t too strong either, which means The Dark Element easily spend a second week at number one with “My Sweet Mystery”. The song got another 50 plays this week, following its massive debut a week ago. Its closest rival is Noah Cyrus’ and XXXTENTACION’s “Again”, which is up 3-2, followed by the first new entry of the week. It’s been a while, but LP finally chose her next single of her hit album “Lost On You”, and that’s “No Witness”, which has been a favorite of mine since the album came out, and it becomes her fourth Top10 hit at #3.
Before looking at all re-entries, it’s time to check the new ones. Swedish ESC queen Loreen gets yet another Top10 with her new single “’71 Charger” (#7). It’s the first song of her upcoming second studio album, as she’s already moving on from her “Nude” EP, which still has two charting entries as well with “Ocean Away” (11-16) and “Jungle” (24-32). Banks enters the charts at #11 with the surprise release “Underdog”, from an upcoming album which is likely to come out later this year. The Swedish Söderberg sisters, or better known as First Aid Kit, wrote history in mid 2015, when their album “Stay Gold” became the first of many albums which hit #1 on the Album Top20 solely based on streams. The set included her first and only hit on the singles charts, “My Silver Lining”, which hit the top spot as well. Now they’re finally back with a new song called “It’s A Shame”, which enters the charts at #26. It’s followed by “Stargazing”, the new single by fellow Scandinavian musician Kygo (#27). And to keep it to Scandinavian artists, Norwegian pop girl Astrid S gets her very first notation ever with “Think Before I Talk” at #35.
Demi, Miley and Shania all have the biggest impact on the album charts with their new releases, and so it’s no surprise to see them having the best re-entries of the week. The highest goes to Shania Twain, who returns straight to the Top10 with “Poor Me” (#10). The country legend has another re-entry as “Life’s About To Get Good” is back at #17. Demi Lovato owns the second highest re-entry with the promo single “Tell Me You Love Me”, which makes a stellar return to #12, nearly matching its peak. Her single “Sorry Not Sorry” makes a more moderate comeback at #34. Last but not least, Miley has two re-entries on her own as well, as “Malibu” is back at #19 and “Younger Now” at #30, with the first one going Gold this week. As shortly mentioned, there’s a seventh re-entry, and that’s “Beautiful Ones” by Hurts, which gets pushed back to #23 following their album release.
The rest of the best: Hailee Steinfeld’s “Let Me Go” stays at #4, followed by Arch Enemy’s “The Eagle Flies Alone” (2-5) and Evanescence’s “Imperfection” (5-6). Nick Jonas’ “Find You” dips 7-8 and Marina Kaye’s “Merci quand même” is down 6-9.
After an amazing run, Rachel Platten leaves the Top10 for the first time with “Broken Glass” (8-13). She just announced her new album “Waves”, which will already be released in three weeks. “Think About That” by Jessie J (9-18) and “Love So Soft” by Kelly Clarkson (10-28) also leave the Top10. There are overall many big drops this week, especially at the bottom of the charts with “Up The Creek” by Tori Amos (17-36), “…Ready For It?” by Taylor Swift (16-37), “You Already Know” by Fergie (19-38), “Remember U” by Melanie Fiona (22-39) and “The Gate” by Björk (20-40). There are also some good news for three songs, the first of them being “Too Good At Goodbyes” by Sam Smith. Following a tragic drop a week ago, the song jumps 40-15 this time. The other two songs are “Praying” by Kesha (23-21) and “Only You” by Zara Larsson (18-25), as Kesha’s track goes Platinum, while Zara collects another Gold certification with hers.
Sam Smith’s “Too Good At Goodbyes” is the obvious biggest climber, while among all these big drops this week, it’s Taylor Swift’s “…Ready For It?” which is the biggest loser this week. 1 (1) The Dark Element (Anette Olzon & Jani Liimatainen) – My Sweet Mystery Chart Run: *1*-1- / 2w

Blake Shelton – You Make It Feel Like Christmas (1w).Six new albums, and all of them are inside the Top10 this week, which brings some life to the Album Top20. That’s also a new record, as it never happened before that there are so many debuts on the charts.
Against all odds, it’s still Miley Cyrus who owns this weeks crown, as her sixth studio album “Younger Now” makes its entry atop the charts. It’s her fourth consecutive number one album, with all of them also debuting there, and her sixth charts entry overall. She still owns one of the strongest discographies when it comes to my charts, however all outputs of “Younger Now” performed way weaker than her previous releases, so it wasn’t a given to see her debuting right at the top in such a busy week. Her closest rival, who was expected to land atop at first, was Demi Lovato. Having released her sixth album as well, “Tell Me You Love Me” marks her fourth chart entry, and third in a row to debut at #2, with the previous release “Confident” being her only chart topper so far. Making the Top3 complete, it’s Shania Twain who gets her first album notation with her return to the music business after a 15 years hiatus with “Now” (#3).
Norwegian DJ and producer Kygo has released a new EP called “Stargazing”, which enters the charts at #5. It contains the hits “It Ain’t Me” with Selena Gomez and “First Time” with Ellie Goulding. That’s much better than what his debut album “Cloud Nine” reached last year: #12. Hurts return to the charts as well with their newest album “Desire” at #6, which is slightly better than the peak of its predecessor “Surrender” (#7), but still lower than what “Exile” did in 2013 (#2). Last but not least, german DJ and producer Robin Schulz owns the sixth and final debut with his third album “Uncovered” (#7), also slightly surpassing the peak of his previous album “Sugar” (#8).
The rest of the Top10: Arch Enemy’s “Will To Power” decreases 1-4, Macklemore’s “Gemini” falls 2-8, Tori Amos’ “Native Invader” is down 4-9 while Eluveitie’s “Evocation II: Pantheon” drops 8-10.
Similar to the Singles Top40, there are also some bigger drops due to the new entries on the Album Top20. The worst ones go to Fergie and Illenium, who both drop nine places each with their releases “Double Dutchess” (3-12) and “Awake” (5-14). “Evolution” by Anastacia (6-13), “Regenbogen” by Vanessa Mai (9-15) and “So Good” by Zara Larsson (10-17) all have some bigger drops out of the upper half as well. Meanwhile, Loreen’s “Nude” EP also leaves that part, however it’s still doing quite well compared to the other ones (7-11). Last thing worth a mention: Ed Sheeran’s “÷” leaves the Top20 for its very first time after 30 consecutive weeks. 1 (NEW) Miley Cyrus – Younger Now Chart Run: *1*- / 1w

It was pop at its best IMO I really liked Wildfire! But Broken Glass is awful, verging On painful to listen to.
