U.K. CHARTS: SAM SMITH SCORES 6TH #1
Sam Smith has scored his sixth U.K. Official Singles #1 as “Too Good at Goodbyes” (Capitol) hits the top on 62k combined sales. That’s made up of 4.4m streams and 33k downloads.
The track is also #1 in Australia (a first) and New Zealand.
Only six British men have had more songs hit the top spot in Blighty and “Too Good at Goodbyes"—the first new music from Smith's upcoming second set—is the sixth song to debut at #1 this year. Prior to the release of his first album, Smith's career gathered heat with a #1 single in 2014 with "Money On My Mind," and Naughty Boy's "La La La" before that.
