I didn't realise the sales were so badđł 1-2k for DJ Khaled but makes the top 20 because of one songs streaming, sad times.

^ I think that sales will be even worse next year. I think so too! Maybe it's time they change the requirements for certification? 100k Silver, 250k Gold and 500k Platinum? Possibly even less at this rate.

^The RIAA already counts streams and single sales for album certifications.
The RIAA is having a record breaking year for certifications.
No need to lower certifications.

hitsdailydouble.com/news&id=308396Friday, September 15, 2017 CHART STORY: THOMAS ON TOP
Valory/BMLG country star Thomas Rhett has debuted at #1 on this weekâs Sales Plus Streaming Chart with 123k for Life Changesâhis third studio album, and the follow-up to acclaimed, platinum set Tangled Up. If youâll recall, the latter housed a big, career-defining hit, the 2016 ACM Single Record of the Year and the CMA Single of the Year, âDie a Happy Man.â Two other new releases make the Top 5 this time around. The Nationalâs Sleep Well Beast (4AD) bows at #2 with 65k, while Jack Johnsonâs All the Light Above It Too (Brushfire/Republic) appears at #4 with approximately 46k. As for the remaining noteworthy debuts, youâll find Dustin Lynchâs Current Mood (Broken Bow) at #7 with 35k and thereâs Kip Mooreâs Slowheart (MCA Nashville) at #10 with 29k, while the late, great Gregg Allmanâs Southern Blood (New Rounder) comes in at #11 with north of 27k and Odeszaâs A Moment Apart (Counter) just misses the Top 15 at #17 with nearly 20k. In other chart news, RCA Nashville/Zone 4âs Kane Brown enjoys a decent bump this week. His self-titled, debut full-length hops #43-33, as the deluxe version goes into preorder. In tandem with that move, red-hot single âWhat Ifsâ debuts on our Song Revenue Chart at #44, and for perspective, itâs one of only two country songs on that list (the other being Sam Hunt smash âBody Like a Back Roadâ). That said, âWhat Ifsâ is #2 on our Country Song Streams Chart. Weâll let you guess the #1 track, but itâs also worth noting that five Thomas Rhett songs can be found on that chart (#3, âUnforgettableâ; #10, âDie a Happy Manâ; #11, âCraving Youâ f/Maren Morris; #25, âLife Changesâ; #44, âT-Shirtâ). Def Jamâs Logic, meanwhile, remains on fire. His album Everybody remains in the SPS Top 10 with another 31k or so in its 18th week out. And, by the way, his much-talked-about single, â1-800-273-8255,â just jumped #3-1 on our Streaming Songs Chart. When it comes to the battle for SPS marketshare, UMG leads with 45%, WMG is #2 with 28% and SME is #3 with 21%, while the indies follow with 6%. Streeting this week are sets from Roswell/RCAâs Foo Fighters, RCAâs Superfruit and Prophets of Rage.

Great news for Thomas! I haven't heard the new album yet but I really liked his last one! He has a decent voice and good songs, so I'm delighted to see him on top.
