I really want a pet hedgehog 😭😭 That makes me think of a story from a couple of weeks back. It was raining torrential and I was in the kitchen doing some studying. I said to dad there's a baby hedgehog on the lawn, and he said that they're not normally out during the day unless there's something wrong. 😟 So I googled it and the advice basically said the same. The rain was so heavy and I noticed there were a couple of flies bothering him so I found the details of a lady near me who has a hedgehog sanctuary, and rang for advice. She said bring him inside, put him in a shoe box with a warm bottle in some towels and bring him to the sanctuary. So when we got there she checked him over and said I'd got him just in time as flies can lay eggs on their prickles. She thinks the rain disturbed his nesting. So anyway I gave her some money and she's going to look after him for 4 weeks until he's bigger and then we're going to go and bring him home. 🙂 Its funny, she wanted us to name him and I could only think of stuff like Spike, Prickles or Mr. Tiggywinkle. She said they normally go through the alphabet and were currently on D. So we named him Danny. 😃 |
