Bring back David Tennant!!! He was amazing, I agree. But Peter Capaldi is great too. I can't comment on Jodie Whittaker as I have no idea what her acting skills are like. I don't mind her being a woman, although I think given The Master regenerated as a woman not too long ago, it does smack of BBC political correctness.

Well it's good that they're branching out a bit and letting a woman take on a roll that has always been played by a man. There's talk of a female bond down the road too, that would be interesting......

Not here for a female Bond tbh. It just about works for DW because of the context of regeneration, but for James Bond it's just political correctness gone mad.

It will be interesting to see if The Doctor seems to identify as a female or if it's basically just another male doctor in a female body. It seemed to me that The Master never identified as a female (although he said he did), but to me it seemed like he was just taking advantage of a female form to manipulate people in ways that he couldn't in a male body. I could be wrong, but that is how it seemed to me. Of course, The Doctor is not prone to lie quite as much as The Master so it may be more obvious what his (her?) true identity is.

Interesting thoughts, Theodore. I actually just finished Season 10 last night, so I have lots of DW related thoughts buzzing around in my head. I think Missy did have a little bit of redemption, but I'm not sure that's solely because she became female. They say women are more in tune with their emotions and empathy, but I think it's quite a generalisation. I guess given that each regeneration brings about slightly different aspects of the Doctor's personality, it would be interesting to see if she has any particularly feminine traits. It would be interesting to see a more maternal relationship with her companions, but ultimately I don't think she'll change too much. i hope Bill comes back as I found her so refreshing and likeable; but if we get a new companion, I think a man would be a good choice. The Doctor has of course had male companions like Rory, Nardole etc, but definitely seems to have a fondness for females. Would be interesting to flip it around a bit.

The theme song is spooky AF I love the theme tune, particularly the more sinister sounding versions. I hope we get a new version of the theme, maybe a new logo and fresh opening credits to mark the start of the Chris Chibnall era.
